Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-27
GoRoutly uses cookies and equivalent browser storage technologies. This page explains which ones, what they are for, and how to control them.
1. What they are
A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device. Alongside cookies we use browser local storage (localStorage), which serves a similar purpose and is subject to the same rules.
2. What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session cookie | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in after you authenticate with Google. | Session |
| goroutly_lang | Preference (necessary) | Remembers the language you chose. | 30 days |
| goroutly_vid | Analytics (consent required) | A random identifier that lets us count distinct visitors and connect page views with clicks, without identifying you personally. | Until you clear browser data |
The strictly necessary and preference entries are required for the site to work and do not need your consent. The analytics identifier is only created if you accept analytics.
3. Cookieless audience measurement
For general web metrics (page views, country, device type) we use a self-hosted tool running on our own servers that sets no cookies, creates no persistent identifier on your device, and shares no data with third parties.
4. Third-party cookies
GoRoutly sets no advertising or social media cookies. Please note that:
- When you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies under its policy.
- When a map is displayed, requests are made to Mapbox.
- When you click a booking link you leave GoRoutly, and the destination provider applies its own cookie policy, which may include affiliate cookies used to attribute the booking.
5. Managing your choice
- The first time you visit, we ask whether you accept analytics. You can decline and the site will keep working normally.
- You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link on this page.
- You can also clear or block storage from your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all allow this per website).
