/ HOW IT WORKS

Two cities for the price of one.

Almost everyone searches for return flights to the same airport. It is the most expensive way to travel around Europe. GoRoutly works out the other one: fly cheaply into one city, take a train to the one next door and fly home from there. Two destinations, one trip and, nearly always, less money.

From search to tickets, in five steps

  1. 01

    You tell us four things

Where you fly from, when you can travel, how many days you have and who is coming. No account, and no personal details at this stage.

  2. 02

The engine crosses flights and trains

We scan the cheapest flights from your origin to dozens of European cities and, for each one, look for a worthwhile second city within a reasonable train ride. That is thousands of combinations you would spend hours comparing by hand.

  3. 03

    The Smart Score ranks them

Every combination is scored on price, train duration, timings and how well the itinerary fits together, including how many nights make sense in each city. What rises to the top is what actually pays off, not simply the cheapest.

  4. 04

You open a route and we price it for real

When you open a trip we check the live price of all three legs on the carriers' own sites, one by one. It takes a few seconds, and that is why the price on the detail page is what you pay, not an estimate.

  5. 05

You pay once and we buy the tickets

You enter the travellers' details, pay for the whole pack, and from there it is on us: we buy all three tickets in your name and send you the booking references. You never have to open an airline website.

What a pack actually is

A pack is the three legs of one route sold together for a single price: the outbound flight, the connecting train between the two cities and the return flight from the second one. Legally that is a package, so we are the ones answerable for the trip working as a whole.

The pack covers the three tickets and our handling of the purchase. It does not cover accommodation, checked baggage unless stated on the leg, seat selection or insurance.

What you pay

The price you see is the final price: the cost of each leg with taxes and GoRoutly's handling already included. It is the same amount on the trip page, at checkout and in your order summary, and nothing is charged afterwards.

Carrier prices move from one minute to the next, so every quote has a validity period shown on screen. If it expires we re-quote, and the price may differ. Payments are processed by Stripe: your card details never touch our servers.

What happens after you pay

  • You immediately get a confirmation email with the amount charged and your order reference.
  • We buy all three legs and send you the booking references within 12 hours of payment.
  • Each reference also appears on your order page as we obtain it.
  • If a flight sells out between your payment and our purchase, we find an equivalent alternative at no extra cost; if there is none, we cancel and refund you in full, service fee included.

Worth knowing beforehand

  • The three legs are separate tickets, not a connection protected by a single carrier: if the first flight is delayed, the train or return flight operator is not obliged to rebook you. The engine leaves margin between legs for that reason, but it is worth keeping in mind.
  • Accommodation is not included. We tell you how many nights make sense in each city; you book them wherever you prefer.
  • The nights and days we propose are a Smart Score recommendation, not a rule: search with whatever dates you like.
  • Traveller names must match the travel document exactly. A misspelt name will stop you boarding, and fixing it depends on the carrier.

Four fields and the engine does the rest. Usually in under 10 seconds.
